There's an App for That!

Today is National App Day and we know parents count on many apps to make things a bit easier. Here's a look at some of our favorites.

There’s an App for That! Did you know today is National App Day? And we’re not talking holiday appetizers. We’re talking apps on your phone and sometimes we ever wonder how we did this whole parenting thing pre-smart phone era. In honor of this day, we’re taking a look at a few of our favorite apps for parents:

The Bump: Start with pregnancy and take this app with you through the early years of parenting. With a daily, personalized article feed, baby registry platform, a planner guide to help you prep for your doctor visits and a Real Answers section where you get personalized expert answers to all your questions, this app is by your side every step of the way.

Glow Baby: A must have for brand new parents, GLOW Baby helps you log and time bottle feeds, breastfeeding, diaper changes, sleep, developmental milestones, medication and growth charts. They also recently partnered with the Baby 411™ – the renowned book for new parents – to give you daily articles that provide clear answers and advice for your baby’s first year.

Our Groceries: Finally have time to run to the store and stock up on some necessities? You come home with what you believe is everything you need until your spouse comes home to find you didn’t pick up the three items he had in mind. Our Groceries lets you share a shopping list and manage items you need together, but on separate phones. Make the most of your time to get things done with this app.

1SE: In the smart phone era, we simply can’t stop snapping photos and capturing videos of our little ones. 1 Second Everyday (1SE) is an app that allows the user to record one second of video every day and then chronologically edits them together into a single film over designated time period. What a momentous way to watch your growing child over the course of the year.

We hope downloading one of these helps you Jersey City moms and dads out there! What are your favorite apps?
