Here's the job description:

Merchandising/Marketing Manager 
Hazel Baby & Kids is looking for a hard working person to help manage and merchandise our boutique. We pride ourselves on providing our engaged Jersey City community with high quality products that tell a story. The candidate will thrive in a clean, friendly and curated shop with excellent customer service. The candidate must be a positive person who can help create an elevated and profitable customer experience. 
Desired Skills and Experience: 
  • experienced creating visual stories through merchandising 
  • brings new ideas and solutions to display and merchandising
  • Can work independently and be productive during non-busy hours
  • Help maintain e-commerce site and fulfill web orders
  • help place re-orders and become familiar with each vendor's processes
  • bridge the in-store aesthetic with online social media and blog
  • help create, and maintain social media content (photos, event posters) 
  • communicate and work with our staff blogger
  • basic photoshop skills
  • graphic design skills desired but not necessary
  • basic photography skills and basic understanding of composition a plus
  • familiarity with Google applications, Canva, and Adobe Creative
  • experienced with social media platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, Planoly, Facebook and Youtube
  • help assist in community outreach to cross-promote and develop in-store events
  • familiar with other local Jersey City/Hudson County businesses and influencers a plus
  • patient with children 
  • responsible for managing cash register and check-out including opening and closing duties
  • managing inventory
  • provide insight in the relationship of merchandising and fixtures with sales
It would be helpful to be familiar with our brands, however we can help you familiarize. It is more important for you to share in our philosophy which is: providing organic and sustainable products that are safe and promote health and wellbeing, quality products that are unique and independently manufactured in the USA.
