3 Months

Your three-month-old will be a curious, smiling, superstar! Visual and motor skills will continue to improve, which makes toys that can be batted at or grabbed exciting. This is also the time where your baby will likely become fascinated by their reflection, or as I like to call it, the other baby that lives in mirrors.

These keys can be attached to your baby’s stroller, car seat or around the house for batting.  They also create great learning opportunities for cause and effect, motor planning and if your kiddo is already teething—chew toys! As your baby grows, they can also be used for functional play.

4 Months

I had a bunch of burp cloths and muslin swaddle blankets with big bold prints for our baby because I liked them. I didn’t realize how much she would like them too! She loved staring at the patterns, touching them, and even trying to pick them off of the fabric. This was great for her fine motor development as well as her visual skills. They are also endlessly useful! We always have a swaddle blanket on hand to use as a burp cloth, a bib, a nursing cover, a rag, a way to keep warm, or a great peek a boo tool.

5 Months

By 5 months, your child will generally be teething if they haven’t started already. Everything will be fair game for their mouths, so be extra attentive to what you leave in reach! These soft, silicone teethers double as toys and are a great option to keep your tiny chomper satisfied!

6 Months

At 6 months your baby will be ready to start purees if they haven’t already! Oh boy! You may be surprised by how many accessories this can mean, especially if you want to make your own baby food which can be pretty fun. From feeding pacifiers, to bibs, to bowls that suction, there are a lot of things you can get to make this period go smoothly and safely for your baby. Baby food makers are a great and easy way to make your own organic purees. Getting those purees into your baby will require baby spoons, and I like to use spoons that double as...teethers! It can take a couple of times for a baby to start to like a new, alien flavor and they will be more motivated to tolerate it going into their mouth if it’s riding on a great spoon to chew.
